There are 3 Student Awards categories an applicant can choose to enter:

Undergraduate Student Award - Nomination by a sponsoring tutor/lecturer is to be based on a final year project/thesis relevant to asset management, or overall high marks in study of an asset management related subject/unit that is pertinent to engineering or business management.

Postgraduate Student Award - Nomination by a university/faculty representative is to be based on the student's final project or overall grades in their studies with content related to asset management principles and/or practice that is pertinent to engineering or business management.

Postgraduate Research Award - Nomination by a university/faculty representative is to be based on a research paper submitted for presentation at ICOMS, or progress in research related to asset management principles and/or practice that is pertinent to engineering or business management.

The recipient of each Student Award receives:

o a complementary ICOMS registration (to 2010 conference)
o a complementary ticket to the Awards Ceremony
o a framed certificate
o $500.00 cheque
o honorary Asset Management Council membership (for a period of 12 months)

The process for identifying the recipient of each Student Award category will be by assessment of each nomination’s overall merit and contribution to the asset management community, as viewed by each adjudicator on the Asset Management Council judging panel. The final decision for each category will be by a simple majority of adjudicators assessments. Any material provided to adjudicators should be capable of email transmission; it will be held as 'commercial in confidence' and all copies deleted/destroyed on conclusion of the current awards.
