    image3Wednesday, 16th May, saw the Brisbane chapter host their latest technical session. The theme of the event was asset management within the power sector. The speakers were Ravi Malik from Origin Energy, Brian McMahon from Energy Queensland and Michael Pelevin from Powerlink.

  • Brisbane talks Data Use in Asset Management

    Image 4Wednesday 22nd May saw 60 delegates attend the Brisbane Chapter technical session on Data Use in Asset Management. Daniel Osbourne, Graham Heiner and Wayne Holtham provided a wide variety of thoughts and examples on how data can be captured and utilised within organisations to inform decision making, and even discussed how decisions can be made with apparently no data.

  • Brisbane's AMP Workshop

In this interactive workshop session, over 50 attendees had the opportunity to look at development of, use and contents of an Asset Management Plan from several perspectives:

The asset management framework, whilst not an explicit requirement of ISO 55001, sets out to help define what the organisation's functioning asset management system looks like.

Many thanks to Engineers Australia staff, who, as usual prepared the venue by separating a reception/catering area, and arranging seating and presentation aids in the auditorium.

  • Canberra explores Asset Intensive Industries

    Canberra 22 March 2018The Canberra Chapter of the AMC held our 2018 AGM and a presentation on the evening of the 22nd March at Engineering House in Canberra. This is a wonderful venue for presentations and the Engineers Australia staff, as usual do everything they can to make the evening run like clockwork.

    After a get together session over tea and coffee, it was down to business in the main auditorium. The presentation was about Asset Management Systems in Asset Intensive Industries, and with a total of 17 attendees from universities, defence, electricity distribution and consulting engineers, there was plenty of input from the audience, making for an interesting evening.

  • Gippsland Workshops Asset Management

    Welcome address by Dr. Gopi ChattopadhyayAn Asset Management Workshop in Gippsland was organised by the School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology’s Resources Engineering and Technology Group and supported by the Gippsland Chapter of the Asset Management Council and Engineering Network of local Engineers Australia Group on Thursday 28 June from 10.00am to 5pm.

    This workshop was another of its revered Corporate Education Workshop and Seminars attended by more than 35 delegates from industry, professional bodies and FedUni and feedback received from delegates was outstanding. This was the fifth event held in the past 3 years, which has seen close to 250 delegates attend Gippsland events.

Through the use of leading software integration solution FME, Arup's team provided a solution which allowed for seamless transferring of features between disciplines regardless of the native format of the design software being used.
