  • Adelaide goes on an Asset Management Voyage

    adelaide 3The Adelaide chapter recently got together to hear from Johan Aaserud, Asset Manager (Life Cycle Engineer) of the Collins Class Program, ASC where the audience was taken on a detailed voyage of his journey across the seas of Asset Management among the waves and peaks of practise, training and certification. Second up, was Neda Gorijan Jolfaie, a PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide to speak on his project around an optimal asset life cycle decision support model.

Next was Curtin's very own senior research fellow from their Faculty of Science and Engineering, Katerina Lepkova, to address the latest developments in corrosion protection measures.

    Recently, various organizations have acquired certification for ISO 55001 without following the necessary procedures to be certified. The result is that these organizations' ISO 55001 certifications do not have recognition from governing bodies in asset management (ISO & JAS-ANZ) as being certified under ISO 55001 and may not be compliant with the standards published in ISO 55001.
