AMPEAK 2015

AMPEAK Asset Management Conference 2015 took place in Sydney from 24-28 May. The conference welcomed over 250 attendees, was supported by 9 sponsors and featured 22 exhibitors. There was an international presence this year with delegates and presenters from countries including Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the United States.

AMIS Implementation Transformed EAM for Water Utility

Recently, a leading water utility in the Philippines engaged one of the Asset Management Council's Corporate Members (GHD) to develop and implement its first asset management information system (AMIS) strategy as part of its long term improvement and journey towards asset management maturity. The water utility services more than 6 million customers with water and wastewater services, and has actively taken part in global asset management benchmarking exercises, below is a summary on how our Corporate Member, GHD, helped the Phillippines ulitlity with its AMIS strategy.

[Event Summary] Queensland Government AM

Recently, the Asset Management Council's Brisbane Chapter held a technical session with over 90 engineering and asset management professionals in attendance. Leading the event was the Brisbane chapter chair, Gopinath Chattopadhyay. Speakers who present from the Queensland Government and the Queensland Audit Office include Neil Scales, David Adams, Sandra Heidrich, and Patrick Fleming.

Case Study - Field Mobile Computing

Ergon Energy operates as an electricity generator, distributor and retailer, servicing around 680,000 customers across a vast operating area of over one million square kilometres. They were an early adopter of Geomatic Technologies (GT) Field Mobile Computing (GT FMC) solution, and in doing so were able to reduce their reliance on manual record keeping for maintenance activities associated with power pole assets, improve their resource allocation, and better meet regulatory compliance.
