During the 2011 ICOMS Asset Management Conference, we held a poetry and photography competition. Read on the find out who the competition winners are…

Photography Competition

Our photography competition posed a question to delegates – How would you capture Asset Management in a photograph?

Congratulations to Murray Wall from Infigen Energy for his winning photograph!

The-Site-Manager--key-to-asset-managment-in-remote-locations

‘The photo is of Michael Nielsen, site manager at Walkaway Wind Farm near Geraldton Western Australia.  In order to have a good asset management culture at a remote wind farm, the site manager is the most important person. He needs to be on board with the processes, data requirements and drive this through to the maintenance contractors.’ Murray Wall

Poetry Competition

The poetry competition challenged delegates to create a poem that included the following words:

  • Crashing
  • Majestic
  • Foaming
  • Blue
  • Drowning
  • Motion
  • Urchin
  • Powerful
  • Energy
  • Ongoing

Congratulations to Jamie Ferguson from Transfield Services for his winning poem!

Asset Paradise

Ongoing waves crashing through
The foaming blue water
Majestic pelicans float through
Canals effortlessly in motion
Paradise, paradise continues
Whilst we are inside drowning in
A sea of Asset Management
Petrified sea urchins with no energy
And yet, we know that the
message is powerful and
Our intentions are honourable

More entries will be posted on the website next week.
