Two of the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) Anzac class frigates have been busy at sea during the pandemic.
HMAS Arunta and HMAS Stuart were involved in the Regional Presence Deployment 20201 that demonstrates our nation’s commitment to partnerships with our regional nations. During the deployment, vessels conduct maritime manoeuvres and communication skills that provide enactment scenarios for personnel as well as give opportunity to build and sustain relationships with our partners in defence.

Armament assets consist of one Mark 45, capable of firing twenty rounds per minute, ship-launched Mark 46 torpedoes. Anzac class frigates consist of combine diesel or gas propulsion plant which enables them to sustain sprint speed of more than twenty-seven knots2.
