The Sustainability and Resilience in Asset Management (SRiAM) special interest group is writing a guidance document to support Asset Managers in assessing Climate Risks aligning to the Asset Management Capability Delivery Model and Asset Management System Model.
SRiAM is seeking expressions of interest from its membership to join an enthusiastic team to collect, review and synthesise Climate Risk approaches and methodologies across Australia and internationally. Here is a chance to provide guidance to the AMCouncil members on climate risk assessments to support the decision-making process.
The Task
A team kick off meeting is proposed for Monday 30th of August 2021 6pm AEST with ongoing web-based meetings as required during the 3-month project with a final meeting Friday 26th November 2021.
The first task is to collect climate risk management approaches and methodologies in use across different government jurisdictions, as well as private enterprises. These approaches and methodologies are then to be summarised, and recommendations developed to provide a practical guide that will inform decision-making processes in an organisation at the:
-
Corporate level (strategic)
-
Management level (tactical)
-
Operational level (operational)
The Commitment
You would need to have time from late August 2021 through to end of November 2021 to commit a few hours per week of volunteer effort in and out of work hours.
