The AM Council is seeking expressions of interest from its membership for suitably qualified persons to join an enthusiastic international team to revise the GFMAM Landscape
Here is a chance to shape the globally recognized asset management subject matter document.
The Task
The GFMAM Steerco managing the project, will provide guidance on how the document is to be revised and templates to be used.
Each Member Society of the GFMAM will have a team working on each of the seven subject areas. This will be coordinated by the Subject area Project Manager Lead
The review process will involve personnel from all of the 13 international members of the GFMAM with the overall intent being to engage and involve as many persons as practicable in this unique opportunity
The Commitment
You would need to have time late September 2022 through to March 2023 to commit to 6 months intense volunteer effort during out of work hours
The document review is to be completed and submitted by end March 2023 in preparation for review at the June meeting of GFMAM.
The Positions Available
- Project Manager Lead
The Project Manager Lead must be able to have skill in leading and facilitating discussion and gaining consensus of a team to proposed changes.
This will involve working with members of their own Society as well as those from other international backgrounds
The individual will need to be a subject matter expert in Asset Management and should have experience in managing projects to keep to time and focused on task.
They should ideally also hold CSAM or CFAM qualifications under the AM Council certification scheme.
The Project Manager must be willing to prepare for, attend and work with other GFMAM representatives, and report to the Subject area steering group on a regular basis.

- Team Member
To be considered you would need to have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in Asset Management and Maintenance
- Hold personal certification with the AM Council (CAAM, CPAM, CSAM, CFAM or CAMA)
- Be willing to work with other GFMAM representatives in achieving an international view on Asset Management
All positions will be required to work with members from other countries and work in accordance with a code of conduct for international development (based on ISO).
