The Asset Management Council is seeking volunteers to serve in the organising committee for the AMCouncil Young Asset Management Practitioners (YAMP) special interest group (SIG).
There are several roles available, including Vice-Chair, Secretary and General Committee.
Role of Vice-Chair
- Perform duties of Chair in case of absence
- Support and manage activities detailed in the annual technical program
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the SIG National Chair
Role of Secretary
- Records actions from meetings
- Liaises between SIG and corporate office to organise and schedule events and communications
Role of General Committee
- Support Chair and Vice-chair in meeting established SIG goals and annual technical program
- Support and manage activities detailed in the annual technical program
- Influence groups activities through networks
- Recruit members and create interest in SIG activities and mission
As these are volunteer positions with no remuneration attached, the incumbents need to be able to demonstrate they have capacity to devote some time to the position beyond their daily employed position (meetings approximately every 2 months or as required), and must be a current Asset Management Council member.
