Alan is VERITAS Asia Pacific’s Principal Consultant and Leader of the Operational Excellence service line and has over 30 years in the successful development and implementation of strategic asset management, large business transformation and process improvement projects, risk assessments, product designs, and strategic vision setting, formulation and execution.

Alan’s experience covers government, rail, telecommunications, manufacturing, maintenance, logistics, construction, security and fire-protection services.

With the experience of over 450 improvement projects, many in optimising fabrication, service and transactions, Alan has a record in driving and delivering project outcomes aligned to business strategy throughout Australasia.

He has previously worked for a number of well-known multinationals and large Australian organisations in private industry and government. He has developed and delivered customised change management, problem-solving and critical thinking programs, delivering over 3,600 hours of structured training to more than 650 personnel.

During the last 30 years, Alan has acquired knowledge in transport assets specifically in rolling stock, including the design, build, maintenance and refurbishment of passenger trains, diesel and electric locomotives, as well as construction, access and earth moving equipment. Specifically, he has advised what is known today as Sydney Trains on optimal scheduled maintenance periods following an in-depth analysis of reliability performance and maintenance practices; optimised warehousing for a renowned fire-protection services brand, implemented Lean pull systems and Kanban in manufacturing, maintenance and office facilities.
