On Wednesday evening, the Asset Management Council Brisbane Chapter hosted an insightful event on Asset Lifecycle Planning, which was simultaneously streamed to the Townsville City Council, forming a new Townsville Hub. This initiative brought together a gathering of professionals eager to learn and share their expertise.

The event, held on June 19th from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, featured two distinguished speakers from the rail and water sectors who shared their methodologies and decision-making criteria across the asset lifecycle. The discussions emphasized the importance of turning data into knowledge and highlighted the tools and collaboration needed across functions to make sound decisions.

Key Highlights (thanks to Brisbane Chapter Committee Member, Jaysee Sunapho):

  1. Turning Data into Knowledge: Attendees learned how to transform raw data into actionable insights, essential for effective asset management.
  2. Methodologies and Decision-Making: The event showcased approaches used in the rail and water sectors for managing the asset lifecycle effectively.
  3. Collaboration Across Functions: The importance of cross-functional collaboration in making sound asset management decisions was underscored.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Nicola Gough for her proactive efforts in arranging the Townsville Hub, and to the Brisbane Chapter for their dedication to organising this event.
