Wednesday 30th November saw the Brisbane Chapter host a hybrid session with attendees participating both in person at the Arup Brisbane office (thanks, Arup!) and online from all parts of Australia and NZ. The session was a double celebration, with the first part panel discussion on supply chains driving sustainable asset management outcomes, followed by end of year drinks celebration at a nearby watering hole.
Adrian Doyle, Arup’s logistics and supply chain specialist, set the scene by sharing thoughts on sustainable supply chain management and procurement. We then introduced three more people to form a panel of industry leaders consisting of Port of Brisbane’s Executive General Manager Infrastructure, Ramesh Liyanage; Queensland Rail’s Senior Manager Environment, Caroline Moss; and Team Global Express’ director ESG, Heather Bone; as they provided insights into how the supply chain can unlock some of the challenges and opportunities around sustainable asset management outcomes. This great discussion was expertly facilitated by Peter Scuderi, Global Skills Leader, Assets and Operations for Arup, whereby the audience gained insights and heard interesting perspectives across asset management, temporary and permanent supply chain management, and procurement practices.
The Asset Management Council wishes to thank Brisbane Chapter Chair, Sparshy Rablin, Chapter Secretary, Ella Hingston, Committee Member Caroline Elms, along with the rest of the committee, and the AV team behind the scenes at Arup, for putting this event together.
The session was recorded and all AMCouncil members are welcome to view it your member zone. Go to www.amcouncil.com.au/search and search for Supply chains driving sustainable asset management outcomes
