I recently attended the “Sustainable Infrastructure and Asset Management” Conference hosted by the Australian Water Association, and would like to congratulate the organisers for an enjoyable and excellent networking event.
Sustainability was defined in many ways by the presenters and participants. So what is sustainability, and how does it interrelate with asset management?
I was inspired by the many ideas, concepts and comments that flooded in at our recent exchange meeting weekend (see John Hardwick’s editorial). We have already acted on one of the ideas, to put a blog on the website. With all the developments, meetings and information that our members are generating, we will be able to provide much more timely news.
On the 23 and 24 October 2010, the Asset Management Council held an Exchange Weekend, bringing together the Asset Management Board members, Chapter Chairs or Chapter representatives, and members of the Technical Development Team.
