AMPEAK 2015 kicked off on Monday 25 May. The opening sessions featured talks from Danny Elia, Colin Thorne, and Brett Abraham, shortly followed by streams on ISO 55001 Implementation, Asset Management & Defence, and Culture & Leadership.
Monday at AMPEAK had a wealth of technical information and innovative presentations that kept the audience wrapt throughout the day. To highlight some of the key presentations during the day, Jim Kennedy presented on ISO 55000 – Balancing Cost, Risk, and Performance; Jim Modrouvanos spoke about Asset Assurance and Configuration Management – A Contemporary Model to Integrate Asset and Investment Assurance; and Craig Crawley of Sydney Water presented on Recasting Performance Standards to Improve Service.
Monday also featured entertaining activities for the entire conference. Not only were 6 muscle cars on display during the entire day, but the YAMP Networking Event became a valuable time for participants to network with colleagues and make new acquaintances. Presented during the YAMP Networking event was the winner of our photography contest. Mr. Andrew Morgan took home the prize for his picture of a jagged railway line that was formally used to transport wool to and from ship bays, but now acts as a tourist ride for beach-goers. Thank you, everyone who attended day 1 of AMPEAK, and we are looking forward to another great day on Tuesday.
