Webinar – Statutory Compliance Management in Aeration Technology

6 November @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

In the second session of our four-part Statutory Compliance Series, this Aeration Technology webinar provides an overview of the compliance journey undertaken by Water Corporation WA to understand compliance requirements for water and wastewater treatment aeration assets and processes.

The session will cover risk framework development, risk understanding, mitigation development, and management of aeration technologies within water and wastewater treatment processes.

It will explain the steps we took to:

  • Understand which legislation applies to our assets and processes,
  • Develop an internal framework to provide structure and clear direction for the journey,
  • Identify the risks, develop a risk assessment process, and assess those risks,
  • Develop risk control strategies and align them with the framework,
  • Identify gaps and collaborate with research partners to address these gaps and improve understanding in both water and wastewater environments,
  • Undertake an independent review of our journey, including our frameworks, outputs, and processes, with input from respected industry experts,
  • Showcase what can happen when controls are not in place or not followed.

This approach gives Water Corporation greater confidence that we are building the correct level of understanding and developing a structured approach to effectively manage our assets and processes, despite the current lack of specific national or local compliance management guidance.
