Manitoba Hydro is an integrated utility in Canada. They have a number of assets in the electrical distribution, generation, and transmission energy streams, as well as the delivery of natural gas. Travis Lavallee, Head Office Asset Advisor, will focus on how initial approaches to whole life cost modelling were first developed and utilised to create long term forecasts for the major powertrain assets in the generation stream. It will also explore recent developments to integrate these whole life cost models as part of an asset class strategy, making the tools scalable to allow the approach to be used across the fleet of assets to provide meaningful insights at the class level.
