Andrew McAlpine, Asset Systems and Compliance Manager at TransGrid, is responsible for the stewardship and continual improvement of all aspects of Transgrid’s ISO 55001 Certified Asset Management System to deliver the best value for the business. In response to engagement with the Australian Energy Regulator following the last regulatory determination, he developed the concept and oversaw implementation of a new Asset Risk Framework.

Andrew will be addressing:

• Defining and continually improving safe, efficient and fit for purpose Design and Equipment Standards;
• Managing re-certification of Transgrid’s ISO 55001 Management System in 2017 and 2020 to meet our license requirements;
• Working with senior leaders across the business to better define the boundaries and integration of the Asset Management, Business Management (Quality), Safety and Environmental Management Systems to improve business efficiency; and more.

Richard Dietz, Project Manager – Capital Asset Replacement Scheduling System at DC Government’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), instituted an asset registry system for this 100-department municipality. One of the many positive results was an increased Bond Rating that saved $100 million in interest over 10 years.
