The Asset Management Council’s Standards Team is currently seeking interest from individuals to assist develop the Asset Management Council’s contributions to, and ideas for, the Australian Mirror Committee.

As a member of the Standards Team, you will assist with the identification and preparation of key contributions to the development of an ISO Standard for a Management System for the Management of Assets. This Standard will become part of the ISO management system series of Standards,  The Standards Team will convene next week via a teleconference to agree the key areas of contributions and ideas, and to review currently collated lists that outline previous key areas.

The Standards Project will convene again in early January, in Sydney to discuss and agree key contributions. Those agreed key contributions will be taken to the Australian Mirror Committee who will represent Australia at the International Standards Organisation Project Committee (ISO/PC 251 Asset Management) meeting in Melbourne, Australia, in late February 2011.

The Standards Team will also have the opportunity to meet with key representatives of the Institute of Asset Management during the ICOMS Asset Management Conference in May 2011.

In order to support the ongoing interest in the development of an ISO Standard for Asset Management, the Asset Management Council has programmed Thursday 19 May 2010 of the ICOMS Asset Management Conference, to focus on asset management related Standards.

Two confirmed key-note speakers include:

    The ISO Asset Management Standard
  • Peter Kohler, Asset Management Council
    Asset Management Maturity Models for Highly Capable Organisations
