Shane Scriven

Shane Scriven Shane has over 10 years’ experience as a reliability engineer and asset management practitioner. Shane started his reliability career working for SKF travelling Australia conducting vibration analysis, lubrication analysis, laser alignment, root cause analysis and bearing fitment and removal. Throughout his career he has gained experience in asset management activities across a variety of industries and specialises in the development and implementation of risk based reliability strategies. Shane is looking forward to building on the great work of the MRiAM Special Interest Group to date and is keen to engage with the broader asset management community to both promote the MRiAM Special Interest Group and to provide valuable learning opportunities.

call for eoiGFMAM Maintenance Framework Review

Call for Expressions of Interest – Review Team and Convenor – Closes Friday 17th July

The AM Council is seeking expressions of interest from its membership for suitably qualified persons to join an enthusiastic team to review the GFMAM Maintenance Framework Document.  Here is a chance to shape the globally recognized maintenance guidance document.

The Task

Review the document using ISO Standards processes.  This entails review of the document line by line and advise where you think there should be changes and if so propose alterative.  Consensus to the changes are required by the team.

Peter Kohler, AM Council Commissioner Liaison, is currently the liaison between GFMAM and AM Council for this project.  Peter will provide guidance on how the document is to be reviewed and templates to be used during the first kick-off meeting.   A team kick off meeting proposed Monday 20thth July 19:00 AEST with ongoing web-based meetings as required during the 3 week project with a final meeting 10th August.

The Commitment

You would need to have time late July and early August to commit to 3 weeks intense volunteer effort in out of work hours evenings commencing 20th July and finishing 10th August

The document review is to be completed and submitted by 12th August 2020

The Reviewer

To be considered you would need to have:

  • At least 5 years experience in Asset Management and Maintenance
  • Hold personal certification with the AMCouncil (CAAM, CPAM, CSAM, CFAM) or CAMA qualification with WPiAM

The Convenor

The current Liaison with the GFMAM team on this task is Peter Kohler.  The Convenor will be required to work with Peter to complete this task.   The Convenor must be able to have skill in leading discussion and gaining consensus of the team to changes as well as subject matter experience and holding certification in asset management as described for the reviewer team members.
