On 17th September 2024 the New South Wales Government passed the Transport Administration Amendment Bill 2024 (17th September 2024).
The bill enables the transition of the Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE) into a new statutory agency known as the Transport Asset Manager (TAM) of New South Wales.
The new entity called the Transport Asset Manager (TAM) of New South Wales will be established to manage the state’s publicly owned rail assets.
AM Council National Chair, Toby Horstead, said “The Transport Asset Manager of NSW will have an Advisory Board and a Chief Executive (reporting to the Minister for Transport). Asset Management will be quite literally at the Executive table.”
