Danny Azavedo
With increased automation in the water industry, maintenance is becoming a vital link in ensuring production so Danny Azavedo has no doubts about the benefits of MESA membership.
Danny is a senior consultant in asset management whose employer, Sydney Water, shares this view, supporting MESA with sponsorship of various activities and provision of facilities for meetings. Danny’s responsibilities at Sydney Water include asset management policies, strategies, procedures, condition assessment and valuation of assets.
Joining MESA when it was formed in 1994, Danny stood for election as a councillor to make a contribution to improving maintenance management. Today he is chairman of the Sydney chapter. He has played a significant role in boosting attendance at technical meetings by members and non-members, in addition to helping organise ICOMS, judging at AMEEA and organising an eminent speaker tour.
Over the past 12 years MESA has increasingly focussed on asset management and deliverables to client. As such Danny says MESA is well advanced in becoming the peak body in asset management.
