Last night, the Asset Management Council’s Perth Chapter hosted an engaging technical meet at the State Library of WA, showcasing some of the standout presentations from the 2024 AMPEAK National Conference. This event brought together local professionals to delve into the latest trends and innovations in asset management, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and best practices.
Our members had the opportunity to hear from industry experts who have been at the forefront of asset management excellence:
- Nyssa MacManus from Rio Tinto shared insights into the practical application of Lean Manufacturing Principles to optimize rotable component maintenance during shutdowns, offering a fresh perspective on improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
- Mark Bourhill of GHD presented on digitally enabled asset management plans, providing a practical approach to integrating digital technologies into asset management strategies.
- Jane Hogben from Duratec highlighted the use of spatial technology to navigate asset management for geographically dispersed portfolios, emphasizing the importance of precision and innovation in managing extensive asset networks.
The event also served as an excellent networking opportunity, allowing professionals from across Perth to connect, share experiences, and discuss the future of asset management. We look forward to more such insightful sessions as we continue to drive excellence in asset management within our community.
