Sydney – Portfolio Asset Management in a Changing Climate

Globally, we are seeing a rise in frequency and impact of natural catastrophes that are being exacerbated by a changing climate. Our climate has already changed, it is physically bigger, it holds more energy and when that energy is released it creates more disruption than our operations and assets are often designed for. Asset managers must adopt approaches to managing portfolio physical risk that better reflects the uncertainty of our operating environments.

This presentation will discuss:

  • Identify: Climate change, systemic risk and asset portfolios
  • Measure: How to assess physical climate risk across large asset portfolios
  • Manage: Observations on asset portfolio risk and how to manage them
