Webinar – Using Risks in the Operating Context to Define Stakeholder Value

Canada’s St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) is in the process of upgrading its Infrastructure Management Support System (IMSS), whilst also simultaneously implementing an Asset Management Eco-System (AMES) to align with ISO 55001. The Corporation seeks to formally define Stakeholder Value with a view to implementing Value-based Decision-making via the IMSS.

As part of formalising its Asset Management System, SLSMC developed an Asset Management Value Framework with significant Internal and External Stakeholder engagement. The analysis of the Internal and External Contexts provided the opportunity to further define stakeholders’ needs more clearly in a way that might be used to define Value. This process enabled SLSMC to identify key Internal and External Risk Factors crucial to the sustainable seaway service delivery.

In this presentation, Iqbal Singh Biln will share how SLSMC went about defining stakeholder value from Seaway Assets by exploring the Drivers of Value, the associated risks, and their impact on Seaway services in the current operating context.
