Cultural Realignment in Maintenance Workforce Re-engineering

This paper describes the project plan, organisational design and field processes to shift the maintenance culture in a large organisation, whereby the focus is to move from reactive breakdown work to planned and scheduled control of work. The approach is based on a combination of doctrine, training and coaching, supported by systems improvement and extensive business process documentation.
