Presentation: Implementing the NSW Government Asset Management Policy for the NSW Public Sector
The NSW Government’s State Infrastructure Strategy, published in 2018, recognised that NSW Government needs to make the most of its growing asset portfolio. It stated that the management and use of assets must become smarter, more productive and more efficient to keep levels of infrastructure spending sustainable. The strategy called for an outcomes-based approach to asset management that focusses on economic, social and environment benefits. Liz will talk about how the NSW Government has successfully implemented this approach and highlight the importance of asset management in building resilience for NSW communities.
